I love oil paint for its wonderful colour and glossy texture, and I like to use it quite thick sometimes with visible brush strokes. The colours here provide unexpected contrasts and is like light glittering through verticals, whether trees, architecture, street signs or whatever. The title comes from a line in the song "Jeepster" by 70s glam rockers T Rex, which I was listening to while I was painting this, it reminds me of my daughter's beautiful hair which is long, dark (sometimes purple, sometimes many-hued) and glistening.
