Passerines
I've always been fascinated by anything that flies - birds, butterflies, kites, planes, clouds - and I'm learning to fly a light aircraft myself. I love to watch flocks of birds tearing past, always going somewhere important. I called this painting "Passerines," referring to the Latin name for sparrows. I liked the poetry of the word, the implication that they are passing through.
This painting is housed in a charcoal grey wooden tray frame.
