This is one of my earliest stripe paintings. I limited the palette to blues, greys and purples, the hues of these are varied enough to make the painting complete - that, and the variations of the stripes, different lengths and widths, some going off the edges of the canvas, some stopping short, some meeting. It's very simple but very strong.
