I've been revisiting some of my early stripe paintings and discovered that I needed to do more. In this one there are elements of landscape and plants. I have continued to use spots, here, graduated sizes are reminiscent of seeds in a pod, and the colours are those of my garden in Wiltshire under the summer evening sky. Paint textures range from thin to thick, matt to gloss, exploring the many possibilities of oil paint.
